SERVICES
Individual Counseling
Therapy can be intimidating especially if you have never gone before. Will the therapist judge you? Will you sound "crazy?" Will it even help? The most important part of this process is finding a therapist you fit with. That's why I, like a lot of other therapist, offer a free 15 minute consultation to see if I am a good fit. If not, we can find a therapist who is. Me or not, everyone deserves to find a therapist who understands them, supports them and who they can bloom and thrive with.
Group Therapy
In addition to individual counseling, I also offer group counseling. While that may sound scary, group has been shown to be one of the most effective types of therapy for a range of issues. Learning that you are not alone and that others have been where you are is a powerful experience. I offer a range of counseling groups including groups for trauma, substance abuse and postpartum support.
Supervision
I offer supervision to therapist working with trauma, substance abuse and general mental health. As a LPC and a LAC, I can provide supervision for licensure. My supervision style is a mixture of motivational interviewing and person-centered; much like my orientation as a therapist, I work hard to offer affirming, non-judgmental and culturally competent guidance. Whether ongoing or as needed, feel free to reach out for more information!
Cultural Competency
I strive to make all services I provide safe and culturally competent. Throughout my undergraduate and graduate work, I’ve sought out additional education and activism on diversity; I have both participated in and led trainings on topics like LGBTQ+ and disability inclusive therapy. While I don’t think any of us can ever be fully culturally competent, I try to show up better every day.
